Access and Delivery Services (ADS)

Access and Delivery Services (ADS) consists of multiple library units that provide core services to library users. These services include circulation of books and other media, course reserves, traditional media services such as theater booking, and document delivery.

Access & Delivery Services (ADS) Services include:

• Circulation Services - patron borrowing privileges and accounts; staffed and self-service checkout; book searches and recalls
• Collection Maintenance - retrieval of items from the main bookstacks
• Course Reserves & Current Periodicals - print and electronic course reserves; assistance with the current periodical and newspaper collections
• Interlibrary and Document Delivery Services - obtaining materials from other libraries in the Triangle and throughout the world; delivery of materials from all sources to Distance Learning students and NC Extension personnel, and between NCSU campus locations
• Media/Microforms Center - assistance with the media and microforms collections
• Satellite Shelving Facility - high-density, environmentally controlled shelving for a variety of media
