Graduate Student Study RoomS

Graduate students at NC State have exclusive access to two graduate student study rooms:

  • Room 3400 on Floor 3 of the south bookstacks tower, D. H. Hill Library
  • Room 4400 on Floor 4 of the south bookstacks tower, D. H. Hill Library
3rd Floor Study Room

The rooms are kept locked, but any graduate student at this university may show an NC State ID to check out a key for a four-hour period at the main circulation desk located at the top of the stairs across from the library entrance.

Please note that any materials left in the graduate student study will be reshelved periodically by library staff.

4th Floor Study Room

Shortly after the latest building addition was completed in 1990, the Libraries decided to identify space specifically for the use of NC State graduate students, who are among the most active users of the library. They have also been among the strongest library supporters, because they rely heavily on library resources for study, research, and teaching. Graduate students know the collections well and articulated eloquently what the library meant to them during the years that budget cutbacks forced the Libraries to cancel thousands of journals.
